Rate:               £15 UMB

Duration:        Temp until Mar 2025 (possibility of extension)

Hours:             Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

 

Our client, a specialist homeless charity in Stoke-on-Trent are looking to recruit a Link Worker to join their team.

 

Synopsis of Duties:

• Providing support to individuals, including: benefits applications, housing sustainment issues, health education, employment and addiction
• Supporting people in their homes and out in the community
• Liaising with support agencies where necessary in order to meet additional complex needs
• Liaising with residents and community including external organisations and charities to foster and develop positive relationships and community cojesion in the smooth delivery of service
• Developing clear support plans and details risk assessment and management
• Supporting people whilst transitioning into accommodation, ensuring they are aware of their tenancy obligations, such as rent payments

 

Essential Requirements

• Experience of working with people with complex needs including: homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, etc
• Experience liaising with social, health, housing and Criminal Justice agencies
• Knowledge of housing and welfare entitlement
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
• DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
